What Tesla just put in the shop

These are separate SKUs. Buy the wrong URL and it will not fit. Tesla did not issue a press release. The live shop pages are the spec.

The $40 set that matches this story is Model Y Premium and Performance Center Console Trays. Tesla’s include line is 2x front tray and 1x rear tray. The top front tray slides so you can reach the bin under it. Compatible with Model Y Premium and Performance produced in 2025+. The U.S. shop showed Add to Cart on Aug 20. The rear tray in that $40 set sits in the rear console bin under the armrest lid. Tesla’s include line is “1x rear tray,” not “armrest.” Not a Tesla App (Aug 18, 2026) described that rear bin as the armrest area in photos. Use Tesla’s include line when you order.

A third $40 page is Model Y Underseat Storage Tray. It includes 1x bin. Designed to fit under the front passenger seat. Tesla’s page: compatible with Model Y vehicles produced in 2025+. Not compatible with Model Y L. It is not recommended to place this storage tray under the driver’s seat. This is not Premium/Performance-only. This is not the console set. If you buy both official pages that solve console plus one underseat, that is $80: the $40 Premium and Performance console set plus the $40 underseat tray.

What the Foronetry 10-piece we tested actually includes

- One armrest box

- Two silicone mats

- One hidden box

- Two under-seat bins

- One cup-holder liner

- One wireless-charge pad

- One cabin-camera cover

Hard comparison

Price. Tesla Premium and Performance console trays: $40. Tesla underseat tray: another $40. Official console plus underseat: $80. Foronetry 10-piece: $44.99 on Aug 20.

Coverage. Tesla $40 set: two front trays plus one rear tray. Tesla underseat: one $40 passenger-side tray. Foronetry: console, armrest box, two under-seat bins, cup holder, charging pad, hidden box, camera cover, two silicone mats.

Build. Tesla: OEM fit and a factory look. Foronetry: ABS with silicone liners. Slightly less Tesla feel. The silicone keeps items quiet and stops sliding. We have lived with it since December.

Value is the decisive category. The Foronetry set was $44.99 on Aug 20. Tesla’s official console set is $40. Tesla console plus underseat is $80 for one underseat bin instead of two.

Which should you buy?

Buy the Foronetry 10-piece if you have a 2025 or later Model Y Premium or Performance and you want maximum storage. That is the smarter choice for that trim.

FAQ

Does Tesla’s $40 official console set fit Model Y Standard or Model Y L?

No. Tesla’s $40 console page only names redesigned Model Y Premium and Performance, 2025 or later. It does not list Standard. The Foronetry 10-piece says the same: Premium and Performance only, not Standard and not Y L. Tesla sells a separate $30 single tray for 2025+ Model Y vehicles that are not Premium or Performance. Tesla’s $40 underseat tray is a different SKU: 2025+ Model Y, not Model Y L, and not Premium/Performance-only.

Is Tesla’s underseat tray for both front seats?
